Kim Sanchez RN, Director of Patient Care Services
I am an RN case manager. I evaluate and admit patients for hospice care. I also make two visits per week to each of my patients to check on their well being and comfort level.
I've been an RN for 34 years. In addition to my work at Bear Valley Hospice, I am a full time nurse at JFK Hospital in Indio, CA on the telemetry unit. Big Bear Lake is my second home where I enjoy skiing, fishing, and boating.
Lynda Boggie LVN, Clinical and Volunteer Coordinator
I provide patient care, coordinate our volunteer program, and assist with other programs like infection control and disaster preparedness. I also manage inventory with supplies and purchasing.
I am a wife and mother. And have worked at Bear Valley Community Healthcare District as a CNA and then LVN. I also worked as a LVN at Lutheran Social Services.
Liz Schuber RN, Case Manager
I am a Registered Nurse and have worked for Bear Valley Hospice for almost one year. I feel honored to be part of such a wonderful organization that provides care at home for patients with a terminal illness. Providing quality, comfort care has always been and continues to be the highest priority for me as nurse.
I was trained in England where I worked as a nurse for many years. I later went to the Middle East and Asia where I worked for several more years. After that, I moved to California and worked at the local hospital here in Big Bear. Big Bear is a beautiful place to live and work and to enjoy all the four seasons and what they have to offer, without the hustle and bustle of a major city.
Michelle Minor, RN
I do hospice with my heart. It just happens. I wish I had done this years ago.
I have 27 years working in obstetrics; pecializing in labor and delivery of newborns, high risk mothers and neonates. Early in my career I worked in Pediatric Intensive Care Units. Life has brought my husband and I to Big Bear and working for Bear Valley Hospice is the most rewarding job I have ever done.
Susie Hall RN, Case Manager
I am honored to work for Bear Valley hospice as a registered nurse. My primary role is "on call" providing assistance to patients in need after hours and on weekends. I have found my calling in hospice care, seeing myself as a sort of labor and delivery nurse assisting patients as they pass from this life into the next. It gives me great satisfaction to provide comfort to families caring for their loved ones at home and to be able reduce fear and assure a peaceful, comfortable passing for our patients.
I bring over 10 years experience in home health and hospice case management. After graduating from Loma Linda's residency in pediatric nursing I had a strong desire to serve my own beloved community of Big Bear where my husband and I have resided since 1987 and raised our 5 grown children. I enjoy hiking in God's beautiful creation and am grateful every day to live here.
