Our Community
Here at Bear Valley Hospice, we love giving back to our community! We know how important it is to contribute to our local non-profits, community organizations, and fundraisers. It's also super fun! Check out some of our community involvement below.

We had the privilege of both participating in and sponsoring the 2nd Annual Andrew Nettlebeck Memorial Run. It's so meaningful to be able to honor a local legend like Andrew!

Big Bear Cemetery Clean Up
As the only locally based hospice care provider, we work very closely with Big Bear Mortuary and Cemetery. We had so much fun doing a clean up day at the cemetery! We were also able to plant a few bushes that were generously donated by Hood Growers Nursery and Moonridge Garden and Gifts.

Ryan Hall's Conquer the Wall
Conquer the Wall was a big challenge for many of us but WE DID IT! Our Bear Valley Hospice team completed the race route in under an hour. We also sponsored all of the water bottles for the event and provided volunteers for both the registration and finish line tables.

Annual Celebration of Life Rock Painting Ceremony
Each year we host an event to honor the lives of our patients who have passed. Families are encouraged to attend and decorate a rock to take home or add to the Rock Garden that we keep at our office! This event is based on the poem The Stone written by Jessica Watson and is a great way for us all to come together in memory of our loved ones.
