Hospice is a program of care and support for people who are terminally ill or nearing the end of their lives.   • Care is provided by a specially trained team of professionals and caregivers.​

  • Family caregivers can get support.​

  • Care is generally provided in the home, but may be provided wherever the patient is.​​

  • Services may include medication, physical care, counseling, equipment, and supplies for the terminal illness and related condition(s).

Medicare Information Regarding Hospice


Hospice services are completely covered by Medicare and most private insurance companies. Bear Valley Hospice bills insurance directly for our services which allows patients and families to focus on the end of life journey without worrying about costs or dealing with insurance. For more information about Medicare coverage for hospice, click the link below to visit the Medicare website. If you are not Medicare eligible, get in touch with your insurance provider for more information regarding hospice care coverage.
